Jenny Lutz

Welcome!

I am Mrs. Lutz and I have been teaching art since 2014. I joined the PCCS family in 2021.

I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and majored in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design. When I am not teaching, I enjoy metal working, stained glass, painting, knitting, and so much more! I also enjoy gardening, hiking and kayaking with my husband.

Art has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy sharing that with students to spark their unique, individual creativity. Students in grades 5-8 will learn about the elements of art and principles of design. We will also study artists throughout history and various art movements.

Visual Arts Grades 6-8

Students will need to bring a pencil and sketchbook to class every day. Sketchbooks should be 8.5″ x 11″ or bigger.

Eighth grade students will have the opportunity to sign up for Yearbook or the Graphic Design course. Students will sign up for these courses at the end of their 7th grade year.

Yearbook

Students on the yearbook staff will be responsible for capturing Piedmont’s important moments throughout the year and documenting them in the school yearbook.

Graphic Design

In the graphic design course, students will learn the history of design and how it plays an important role in society.
