My Fall Door Decorations!
Specials classes are now grading on a 3 point scale. In music, students receive a participation grade every day that they have my class. At Report Card time, all grades will either be a ‘M’, ‘P’, or ‘N’.
The highest grade is a ‘M’ (Met Expectations), which will show as 3 points on daily grades. This means your child fully participated in class.
The next grade is a ‘P’ (Progressing), which will show as 2 points on daily grades. This means your child partially participated in class.
The next grade is a ‘N’ (Needs Improvement), which will show as 1 point on daily grades. This means your child either did not participate, or very rarely participated in class.
PowerSchool will only show your child’s grade as a percentage, but this is not how we are grading in our classes. If you are ever unsure of where your child stands, feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will provide my class data for your child.
This document is similar to the one that was sent out for all Special Area classes. However, this one will only show the classes that have music each week.
We use MusicPlay curriculum in our class lessons. This curriculum has an online platform that students can access at home if they are interested.
